This should be so easy to setup but what a pain. I keep putting in my lat/lon, city, etc and it keeps reverting to some place in the middle of Pennsylvania even though I’m in NY.
Also, I don’t see where I can post a state, just a city. Can someone post a screenshot of what I’m supposed to do first, please.
Go to https://openweathermap.org/api scroll down to API documentation and how to start. there are several things you can put in the city area to get a Pull & not all inputs work correctly as you’ve discovered, it is recommended using the city ID from a downloadable file but there is no Guarantee your city will be in it 
for me the city,country worked so did the ID so does the coordinates however for my off grid place I had to use info for a city close by but not the one closest.
